20 Years of Creative Portraiture
My name is Robert E. (Bob) Eldridge, owner and photographer of The Eldridge House Fine Photography. As a youth in my home town of Richmond, Virginia, I was interested in art, music and theatre. I took a break from high school in 1975 and headed to Key West, Florida with some of my older theatre friends to help build and found The Greene Street Theatre, Key West's first professional live theatre. I studied commercial art at Florida Keys Community College before transferring to the drama department at The University of Arizona where I was awarded a Halderman performance scholarship.
After graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from U. of A., I moved to the Dallas area and was hired and trained as a photographer by a nationwide chain of portrait studios. By 1984, my studio was this company's top performer. In 1987, I started my own company, Bob Eldridge Photography in a shopping center in Dallas. We operated successfully at this location for seven years before I located a fantastic piece of property in the countryside near Red Oak on which to build my Victorian style home and dream studio. This land included a lovely pond, spring fed creek, meadows and woods to which we added gardens, arbors, gazebo, pergola, bridges, a cottage and a carriage house and frame gallery plus much more. Now, as we enter our twentieth year, The Eldridge House Fine Photography is one of the most popular, expansive, and well-equipped portrait studios in Texas. I love creating beautiful portraits in this beautiful environment.

After being an Eldridge House client for many years, Bonnie Verver came to work here in 2007. Bonnie assists clients in portrait selections and runs day to day operations at the studio. She also became a first time grandmother in Feb of '09. Here is a picture of her new granddaughter Addison Reese Nettles born February 8th, 2009. Photo credit to her mommy.

David Lawrence, a talented digital artist and tech guy now works at the studio helping us create new dynamic portrait looks. Dave goes to Cedar valley college and will be a great asset to the studio.
I'm sure you will find both Bonnie and David helpful in advising you about your portrait sessions and helping to make your visit to the studio a pleasant experience.
